UI Design:

Updated: Jun 9, 2022

First run at UI:

This was the very first bit of UI I made for the game, it was just a simple Pause play, but it also had some settings that were kind of a failsafe if the game just didn't work on less powerful computers and just made stuff more low poly this would be a last resort since it makes stuff that is high resale look horrible because it its built to be low poly.

Second run at UI:

The second set of Ui I made was both more functional and also implemented the Fonts and designs that I used for the brand this makes the whole uniform for the player. this level of detail makes the player feel like like are 'properly playing a game' said one play tester, its just the small things that bring the whole experience up to par.

I added a new level for the main menu, and an actor preset that lets the menu widget be present in the game world, this lets the world feel more immersive even before you play the game. (I also thought this would be perfect when we are at the arcade as it will be really eye catching and draw people in with the professional look and the amazing graphics).

Third run at UI:

This was the same as the previous one but it allows the implementation of controller to use the menus in the game. This was a massively important goal for me as I wanted people to play how they wanted to and I really didn't want people to be pulled out of their controller experience with them needing to find the P or esc key to pause the game when they are already holding the controller.

Here are some of the assets I have made to make the UI

Other HUD:

As well as the menus I also made a few HUD widgets, this includes the Heath bar, Death screen and completion screen. these are all factors that are necessities for the game to feel authentic and add that final level of detail to the project.
